I build digital products and lead the teams that build them. I came up as a developer and still work hands-on: I’ll model the data, write the code, or pick up whatever tool the project calls for. Across two decades in web agencies and in-house product teams, my job has been the same — figure out how to get the thing done, then carry the project and the people around it through to launch. Lately much of that work centers on AI, in engineering and across the business.I was formally trained in analog radio and television production, and spent the formative years of my adulthood as a professional rock musician. An old PC acquired for producing music ended up being used to build websites instead. As Senior Director of Digital Production at Healthier Generation, I lead the development of digital products in service of children’s health. I live in the western suburbs of Chicago with my wife and daughter.
